YEAL FRANK
Yael Frank is a multi-disciplinary artist working mainly in sculpture and video. Her satiric projects argue for an anthropomorphic presence of political and emotional speech that is embedded in found objects of cultural insignificance. Frank employs comedic strategies to expose multiple points of view on the precarious state of ethical concepts, while testing the seriousness of political ethos by orchestrating situations that are physically beyond language.
Frank is the recipient of awards and grants such as the Anslem Kiefer Award by the Wolf Fund, The Keshet Award for Contemporary Art, the Artis Project Grant, The Ostrovsky Family Fund Grant, and the Rabinovitch Foundation Fund for Art, among others. Her work was shown in institutions such as The Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, The Tel Aviv Museum of Art, House of Art Brno, FuturDome Milano, Zachęta National Gallery of Art Warsaw, Wroclaw Contemporary Museum, The Center for Digital Art, and more. Her recent residencies include the International Curatorial and Studio Residency (ISCP) in NY, and the Artport Artist Residency Program in Tel Aviv. Most recently she was commissioned to produce a site-specific art project that was sent to the International Space Station in space.

Ethic's Fatigue is a glimpse into the parodic architectural worlds created by Yael Frank. Depicting an epic device for the bored, two video vignettes portray a 26’ by 8’ monumental cat tree condo in the shape of the word SHALOM (peace in Hebrew). In a special edit for ZAZ10ST, Ethic's Fatigue opens a window to an empathetic exploration of ethical indifference, blurring the lines between real consequences and fictional circumstances.
The "GRID" project received support from The Keshet Award for Contemporary Art, founded by the Bar-Gil Avidan Family, the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, the Igal Ahouvi Art Collection, and Outset Israel.
