Terry Rosenberg (b.1954, Connecticut) lives and works in New York City. His paintings, sculpture, and drawings have been widely exhibited throughout the US and Europe. Solo exhibitions include Anders Wahlstedt Fine Art, Hal Bromm Gallery, Bette Stoler Gallery, Sharpe Gallery, The Clocktower, Institute for Art and Urban Resources (now MoMA PS1), The Sheldon Museum of Art, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, Centro Nacional de las Artes, Mexico City, and Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center. Group exhibitions include Whitney Museum of American Art at Philip Morris, MoMA PS1, The Albright Knox Art Gallery, Museum of Fine Arts Boston, São Paulo Bienal, and Indianapolis Museum of Art. His work is included in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Walker Art Center, and Graphische Sammlung Albertina.

In conjunction with Terry Rosenberg’s exhibition of paintings in the gallery, Terry Rosenberg in collaboration with Sanford Placide present a series of short performance videos for the camera combining movement (dance) with painting, exploring the intersection between the two art forms.
These short videos will be on ZAZ Corner’s In Between Programming. The artwork is displayed for 15 seconds at a time on a large LED billboard in the heart of Times Square.
Sanford Placide Biography
Sanford Placide is a Haitian born professional dancer in his fourth season with Dance Theatre of Harlem. He previously danced with Alberta Ballet in Canada, Ballet West, Charlotte Ballet (formerly NCDT), and Ballet Etudes of South Florida. Sanford trained with Ballet Etudes of South Florida, Manhattan Youth Ballet, The French Académie of Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Ballet Hispanico, and Miami City Ballet. In commemoration of Haitian Flag Day 2018, Sanford partnered with the Consulate General of Haiti in New York to organize and produce UNI, an art collective where he premiered the riveting ballet MAGA. In 2019, Sanford produced Sans-Souci, the second staging in the UNI series and was honored by the Consulate General of Haiti in New York for his work in preserving Haitian culture. Learn More
