PROJECTS WITH ZAZ10TS

Ben Hagari’s films and video installations are tragicomedies that unfold in absurdist environments. In his films, environment and inhabitant are mutually constitutive; domestic spaces that function both as a prison and a refuge. Hagari’s work dissolves the distinction between theatrical façade and backstage by opening into spaces where magic, subterfuge, and poetry all collide.

Seven Dreams | Organized by Ben Hagari

Seven Dreams presents seven videos created by students from the MFA in Photo, Video and Related Media at The School of Visual Arts. The short videos (excerpts from longer works) can be seen as personal dreams on screen; perception of inner and outer worlds; journeys and dances in cityscape.
